Lake County Block Party

It Takes a Village

Whether you’re a cyclist yourself or someone who wants to see how a professional sporting event unfolds on the streets of Lake Bluff, you won’t want to miss the opportunity to be a part of the 5th running of the Northwestern Medicine Lake Bluff Criterium on July 22.

It takes a village to put on a professional bike race…the Village of Lake Bluff! Your help is needed — don’t be a “crank” —  volunteer to be part of the “chain” that makes this race so successful.

This event is unlike any other on the North Shore, and volunteering is an incredible way to experience it. The best viewing is done by the course marshal, watching riders whiz by and keeping spectators safe.

Volunteers needed

Course Marshal Volunteers Are URGENTLY Needed

Volunteers are also Needed for Host Housing

Take advantage of this opportunity for families in the area to connect with National Champions, Olympians, future Olympians, and hard-working racers striving to fulfill dreams in professional bike racing. Host families are encouraged to engage with their guest racers: Come watch them race, talk to them, find out what the life of a professional road cyclist is all about.

Volunteering strengthens your ties to the community making it a better place while exposing you to people with common interests, neighborhood resources, and fun and fulfilling activities. Race day would not be possible without the incredible work of our volunteers.

Thanks for helping make this a great community event in Lake Bluff!
